Those Chinese citizens with a valid Canadian or US visa are exempt from visa requirements to enter Chile.
Chinese nationals without either Canadian or US visa can apply a tourist visa for Chile at their consulate abroad.
The new regulations allows tourists and business travellers to stay in Chile during 90 days and then renew it for another 90 days.
As alternative method, business travellers in Chile can apply for short-term work permit for tourists which allows them to work while work visa is processed.
Both countries also removed tourist and work visa fees.
According to chilean consular official the embassy plans to extend this visa-free policy measure to travellers with Schengen or other countries’ visas.
