Citizens Of Gujarat, Rajasthan And Diu Can Have Their Apostilles Through The RPO

The Regional Passport Office (RPO) in Ahmedabad, for now on will be in charge of apostille services in the cities of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Diu. Thus, people of these cities should not travel to New Delhi to have an apostille.

Ahmedabad is one of the 10 RPO offices in the country to obtain an apostille, for example, documents for a visa had to be certificate at the external affairs ministry since various agencies are not recognized by foreign consulates, now the application is a very easy process.

A person with an Aadhar card, a voter identity card and a PAN card can get a passport without police verification. The passport takes up to four days approximately and the police verification is done later.

The Ahmedaabad RPO has started three different Mailbox for complaints and suggestions. One of these is exclusively for applicants who are old or children, so Ahmedaabad RPO can improve their services.

In the future, the government of Indian wants to implement it in other parts of the country.
