Vietnam Consulate Legalization

If you are a foreigner in Vietnam you should take into account certain regulations before legalization procedures.
In the following article we will show you some of these regulations.

When you go to Vietnam, be sure to carry documents issued by foreign agencies with consular legalization, they should be clearly presented with no modification or erasure. Any modification or erasure should be made under the law of the issued country or agency.

Any foreign papers or documents that needs consular legalization by overseas Vietnamese diplomatic missions must be certified by:

• Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Overseas Diplomatic Mission

If you are in the States be sure to fill the form “LETTER OF REQUEST For consular legalization/ certification” attach a photocopy of requester’s ID. All papers or documents must be notarized public and authenticated by local state department before legalization.
