Electronic Apostille

A new electronic apostille service was recently launched by the Ukrainian Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko.

Petrenko said that apostille is the legalization of public documents to verify their authenticity in order to be used abroad (sale and purchase agreements, court rulings, and birth certificates).

This innovative service will benefit 120,000 Ukrainians whose apostilled documents were issued only in the city of Kyiv.

“We are in the top 20 countries that use electronic Apostille in cross-border transactions. 2 weeks after publishing the resolution the innovation will be operating in test mode. And then it will start its work on a regular basis”, – said Pavlo Petrenko at a cabinet meeting.

Finally, Petrenko said that any Ukrainian will be able to print their documents online or receive it in the nearest civil registration office.
